The ability to measure, characterize and quantify 3D physical structures is one of CTLab's core strengths. We have always distinguished ourselves by our ability to provide quantitive predictive solutions. This ability built on the twin platforms of:
- Very high quality imaging
- A unique suite of software tools for analysis and quantification
The reconstruction of data (2D images to 3D tomogram) takes place at the NCI supercomputer facilities right across the road and is included in the charging schedule. Data will be stored securely in duplicate on tape drives at the NCI facilities.
Analysis is carried out using the powerful Mango software tool for parallel segmentation and network generation and the pre and post-processing and analysis of associated data. This software has been custom-built at the ANU in the Applied Maths Department to perfectly compliment the high-quality data produced by our world class CT systems.
