If you're a new user or unsure whether CTLab can meet your needs, check out our FAQs or get in touch with us

We're always keen to learn about new applications and research areas where CT might be able to help. We've scanned thousands of samples, so there's a good chance we have already worked with something similar to your samples. We'd be happy to share relevant examples from our extensive archive of 3D datasets.

What to Consider

Thinking about using CTLab? Here's what to consider and include in your enquiry to us:

  1. What are you interested in finding out?
  2. How many samples do you have?
  3. What is the size of your samples?
  4. What material are they made of?
  5. How can they be mounted to prevent any movement (even on the micron scale)?
  6. What is the size of the features you want to investigate?
  7. How do you plan to analyse the data? (CT datasets can be large, often over 100 GB)
  8. What is your budget?

In many cases, multiple objects can be scanned together. Grouping samples by size usually allows us to optimise scanning conditions. It's often best to speak with us directly. Once we understand what you're aiming to achieve, we can help plan the most effective scanning strategy.
